What is Asset relocation/alteration, Asset removal, Working near existing powerlines (No Go Zones)?

If you’re negotiating to remove, relocate or alter an asset owned by us such as a pole, power lines, underground cables, pillars etc., or, are intending to work (e.g. building works, excavations, transporting high loads etc.) near our assets, this application is the right one for you. 

You’re required to pay a fee to proceed with this application and obtain a Preliminary Estimate or a Firm Offer. In some situations your application can be assessed without payment. One of our AusNet Services Project Managers will contact you to advise you of the application fee once they have completed the initial assessment. 

For an indicative price, select the Preliminary Estimate option on the application. Preliminary Estimates are indicative, meaning the price generated is an office-based assessment.
A Preliminary Estimate is valid for 30 days and has an upfront, non-refundable* fee.
*Note: Preliminary Estimate fees paid are non-refundable, however, will be deducted from the cost of the electricity supply works if you proceed with the proposal.

For a fixed price, select the Firm Offer option on the application. Firm Offers are fixed, meaning the price generated is inclusive of the proposed works and contract. A Firm Offer is valid for 60 days and has an upfront, non-refundable* fee.
Note: Firm Offer fees paid are non-refundable, however, will be deducted from the cost of the electricity supply works if you proceed with the proposal.

Proposed Works and Plan(s)
Clearly provide the scope of your proposed work to assess the requirement without any delay. Ensure you attach all necessary development plan(s) along with the application form to process the application. Missing plans or a lack of detail can cause delays in processing your application. Refer to the section below to find out what is required to proceed with the application form. 

What you need to know before getting started?

This application form cannot be saved once you have started and must be completed in one attempt. Make sure you have all the required information outlined below, and enough time to complete the application before starting.
  • Contact details of Yourself and/or Authorised Representative if applicable.
  • Address details of the property/Location-Please provide the closest point to your project Location. e.g. Lot 5/Corner Allan and Collins Street
  • Electronic copies of the:
    • Proposed Construction Plan
    • Scope of Works Document
    • Cultural Heritage Management Plan (If applicable)
  • Additional Information and Potential Hazards of the site location (Optional)
  • A payment will be required to submit the application. A choice of payment options will be available to you at this point.
