In partnership with Regional Development Victoria (RDV), we committed to extending our natural gas networks to four key regional communities - Huntly, Avoca, Bannockburn and Winchelsea.
Network construction in all of these towns has now been completed.
Our agreement with RDV forms part of the wider initiative, known as the Energy for the Regions program. Under this program, the Victorian Government will invest $100 million in regional development programs including exploring the viability of connecting natural gas to regional areas via existing underground networks, and in other non-traditional ways.
